Airport Pick Up
What To Expect
Students on Edinburgh or Stirling programs are expected to arrive into the Edinburgh International Airport (EDI). Upon arrival, follow signs and make your way to the baggage claim area via passport-border control (UK Border Force). Have your passport and flight documents ready; this will help speed up the process and reduce the amount of time you have to wait in line. Tip! Edinburgh Airport also has e-gates and you can use these (it's quicker!) If you go through the e-gates you will not have to show any documentation. Once you have cleared immigration, follow the signs and make your way to the baggage claim area. Collect your luggage and exit into the arrivals area.
Edinburgh semester students: Edinburgh Napier staff will be waiting for you to take you to your accommodation. Look for Edinburgh Napier-branded shirts or Edinburgh Direct Taxi signs (the transportation service they are using).
Stirling semester students: A designated person will meet you in the arrivals area and take you by taxi to your accommodation where you will meet the housing reception who will check you into your accommodation.
Stirling summer students: A University of Stirling staff member will meet you in the arrivals area and take you to your accommodation for check-in.
Flight Delays or Cancellations
Please message your Site Director via the WhatsApp group as soon as you know of any flight delay or cancellation to provide the new arrival time. We will do everything we can to pick you up from the airport, even if your flight is delayed. If you are arriving late because of a flight delay, please let us know that your flight has been delayed by calling the CIS Abroad emergency line (+1 413-210-7091) and we will help you with instructions on how to get to campus.
Lost Baggage
If your bags decide to take a later flight, don’t panic. If the airline loses your luggage, you must file a report with the airline while you are still in the baggage area. It is much more difficult to file this report once you’ve left the baggage claim area. You will need to provide them with:
NAME (you can give your name)
PHONE : +44(0) 744 715 2017 (Jeanna's cell phone number)
